Queen’s Park 4 Livingston 0

Four second half goals gave Queen's 18s a win over Livingston in CAS Performance Level League last night at Lochinch.

A wet and windy night greeted both sides to the pitch for tonight’s CAS performance league game. We were now well and truly in autumn.

The young Spiders certainly started the game with a bang. They had two free kicks and two corners in the opening five minutes of the game.

Timam Scott on the right and Josh Howe on the left were getting behind the Livingston defensive line, but the final ball in was proving elusive.

Queen’s, with the wind behind them, continued to control the ball. They moved the ball about the big Lochinch pitch looking for gaps. Both Jojo Smith on the right and Dom Brady on the left were contributing much to the attacks.

In the 28th minute Lucas McCormick intercepted a misjudged passback , and was through on goal only to be pulled down at the edge of the Livingston box. Unfortunately the free kick attempt sailed over the bar.

Five minutes later Timam Scott had a tremendous run down the right before cutting the ball back into the Livingston six yard box. Unfortunately the ball was played behind the advancing forwards and was cleared from danger.

Queen’s certainly made amends for their lack of goal scoring opportunities in the first half going in the lead five minutes into the second half. From an attack down the left Josh Howe played the ball to trialist, who in turn moved the ball through a gap in the Livingston defence to Lucas McCormick. LUCAS took one step into the box and fired the ball across the keeper into the far corner of the net to open the scoring. A well worked and well taken goal.

Two minutes later Timam Scott was upedded inside the Livingston box. TIMAM stepped up and hit the penalty low to the keeper’s right to double Queen’s lead.

With a two goal lead Queen’s were now fully in control of the game. Dom Brady had a number of superb runs down the left which could have resulted in a few more goals.

3-0 to Queen's

The fourth goal came in the 79th minute when DON BRADY received the ball on the left, cut inside and hit a low shot past the keeper into the near post.
