Have you seen August? Schoolboy missing after leaving hospital

A heartbreaking appeal has been issued after a schoolboy went missing after leaving hospital.

The search continues for August Petrie, who was last seen on Thursday afternoon.

The 12-year-old vanished after leaving a north London hospital, police said.

He was last spotted in the Coram Fields area of Camden.

His parents have released a moving statement urging him to get in touch with them.

It reads: ‘August you don’t have to go back – everyone is in agreement that you can be at home forever. 

‘You are not in any trouble at all. We just want you home and safe.’

August is described as being 5ft 2ins tall and of slim build. 

He was wearing a baggy navy shirt, dark coloured trousers and Crocs.

An image of the smiling teen has been released and the Met is appealing for anyone who sees him to contact them.
