People are just realizing the right way to open a bagel – and it’s so much better than pulling it apart
A BAGEL lover has revealed people have been opening up their doughy treats all wrong.
Content creator Sidney Raz told his 3.6million TikTok followers they need to rethink the way they prise open their ring-shaped snack.
The social media star is renowned on the platform for the plethora of tips and tricks he says he didn’t know and thus shares with the world.
In one of his latest clips discussing life hacks, Sidney explained there was a much better way to open a bagel than pulling it apart.
He paid tribute to the mountain of bagels he had “broken over the years” before learning this nifty method.
The TikToker said in the video: “Here’s something I didn’t know until I was in my thirties.
“Twisting a bagel apart is better than pulling a bagel apart?”
Sidney grabbed his store-bought pre-sliced bagels and began demonstrating both techniques to his followers.
The grabs the first bagel and shows himself pulling the two halves apart – which inevitably results in an uneven split.
He disappointedly looks into the camera and says: “Broken.”

But Sidney then grabs a second bagel to get to the bottom of whether twisting it is the better approach.
He effortlessly divides the bagel into two perfect halves by keeping his finger through the middle and rotating the top half.
Sidney appeared physically shocked at the success of the twisting technique.
And social media users echoed his reaction, saying they were rushing to try out his latest hack.
One commented: “I didn’t know it was even a thing lol I always cut them.”
Another wrote: “I literally just finished my bagel. Now I gotta go have another one just to try this.”
A third said: “Oh my gosh!!! How many I have destroyed doing that!”
While a fourth chimed in: “I’m 43 and I still don’t know this stuff. What is wrong with me!”
