This Morning’s Alison Hammond faces backlash after admitting she failed to notice £10,000 missing from her bank account
THIS Morning host Alison Hammond has faced backlash for admitting she failed to notice £10,000 missing from her bank account.
The 47-year-old told viewers she’d been mistakenly charged £10k for a £1,000 car service.
A month later, Alison still had no idea she was missing £9,000 from her bank account.
It took a phone call from the repair shop to explain the error.
Alison said: “I got my car serviced. I paid for the service and didn’t notice until they phoned me that they’d charged me £10,000. I hadn’t checked my balance.
“They noticed a month later and called me to say they’d meant to charge £1,000, but they’d charged £10,000 instead.

“I didn’t even notice.
“That was nice that they told me.”
She told the story after Gyles revealed he was out for dinner with Joanna Lumley when she accidentally paid a £1,000 tip to a restaurant.
One viewer said: “Stories of alison not noticing a nine grand overpayment and gyles and lumley leaving a thousand pound tip at a restaurant are exactly why this program needs scrapping people can’t afford to put their kettles on and we’re forced fed this shit every day.”
