Gogglebox’s Dave and Shirley’s jobs revealed after they spoke about what they do on the show
GOGGLEBOX stars rarely mention what they do away from being glued to the week’s TV on the show.
For example, Pete Sandiford works in insurance, Tremaine Plummer is a chef and Mary Killen is an acclaimed writer.
However, Shirley Griffiths let slip her husband’s job at the end of last night’s episode.
The pair watched a very complex show about how the universe works, along with the rest of the cast.
She told him: “If you got anything out of that, right, then you’re in the wrong job cleaning toilets.”
Dave and Shirley – who film the show from their house in Wales – have been married for 40 years and joined the Gogglebox cast in 2015.

In their day jobs, Dave is a cleaner in a factory, and Shirley works in retail.
She was recently seen in the shop window dressed as a bee in a black and yellow costume for National Book Month.
Elsewhere in the show Simon Minty works as a disability consultant, and is also a co-host for the BBC podcast Ouch! and his sister Jane works in a kitchen.
Marcus Luther is head coach at boxing TM boxing gym in London where he trains upcoming fighters and partner Mica is a hairstylist.

Last night the cast of the Channel 4 show watched the likes of Bad Sisters, The Kardashians and the BBC News.
Many of the stars were also seen close to tears as they watched an emotional scene of a mother delivering a baby.

During the episode, presenter Emma, 44, was assisting a planned cesarean birth.
Shirley put her head in her hands while Baasit Siddiqui added: “Imagine as a parent, it’s your worst nightmare isn’t it.”
