Furious Strictly fans all have the same theory about Shirley Ballas after brutal comments
STRICTLY Come Dancing fans we’re all left feeling furious with Shirley Ballas as they hit out at her judging critiques.
The BBC One favourite returned tonight for ‘Movies Week’ which saw the celebrity hopefuls battling it out against each other in order to secure top marks to songs from the big screen.
But many fans we’re all left saying the same thing about head judge Shirley who felt she was taking issue with the younger female contestants.
Viewers of the show felt she was under marking the younger women even if it was just for a minor mistake whilst being more lenient to their male counterparts.
Taking to Twitter, one fan wrote alongside a meme of a cartoon character screaming: “Shirley Ballas when a young woman makes the most minor mistake of all time #Strictly”
One fan tweeted: “Yet again await and see @ShirleyBallas sl*g and underscore the woman celebs as ever #Strictly”

In particular, many viewers felt the 62 year old dancer was overly critical of comedian and actress Ellie Taylor.
Ellie and her partner Johannes Radebe took to the dancefloor to perform a Cha-Cha-Cha routine to the Shoop Shoop Song (It’s In His Kiss) from Mermaids.
Whilst the performance went down a treat with fans at home, Shirley subsequently marked Ellie just a 5, one of the lowest scores she gave out across the whole evening.
Fans accused Shirley of picking on Ellie and marking her unfavoruable amongst her counterparts.

One fan fumed: “Rude to Ellie. She wasn’t great but she was still better than that. Everyone should get higher than an eight now.”
A second echoed their thoughts, adding: “Shirley has her favourites and Ellie T isn’t one of them. Thought the tone of her comments was like a teacher telling off a child.”
Further adding fuel to the fire over Shirley’s alleged inconsistency between male and female markings, one added: “Shirley gave Ellie a 5? Why does she mark the women harder than the men.”
Another said: “I love Ellie and Johannes, this wasn’t her dance, she looked a bit uncomfortable, but Shirley was really going at the younger woman again eh.”
The comments continued to come with a further Strictly viewer adding: “I really don’t care about anyone this szn but ellie is quite obviously Shirley’s target and it’s really unfair.”
Whilst another raged: “kay but the difference between Shirley’s feedback for Matt and her feedback for Ellie T is worlds apart and it reeks of internalised misogyny.”

During tonight’s show, Ellie found herself close to the bottom of the leaderboard.
It was radio star and DJ Tyler West who hit the top with an impressive score of 38 – four points ahead of his closest rival.
Tony Adams failed to impress on the dance front but did have the judges and fans swooning at home over his Full Monty inspired routine which saw him strip off live during the show.
