AFD holds graduation ceremony for newest cadets

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- On Friday, the Austin Fire Department held a graduation ceremony to welcome its newest members.

The ceremony for cadet class 134 began at 10 a.m. and was held at the Great Hills Baptist Church, 10500 Jollyville Road.

Nearly three dozen cadets graduated during the ceremony — joining the 14th-largest fire department in the country.
