Lewis Capaldi wants to form a supergroup – with a wish list of huge names from the world of music
LEWIS CAPALDI has had plenty of success on his own but now he is hoping to link up with three other chart toppers for a supergroup.
He has become consumed with the idea of forming a band — already creating a list of names.
He wants to enlist best pal Niall Horan from One Direction, along with Sir Elton John and Ed Sheeran.
Lewis said: “I would love to do it. Me and my piano player have a massive list of band names. We’ve got hundreds now.
“My favourite is Pleasure Kit. Also Rock & Roll Los Angeles 1966.
“What I’ve found is, the longer the name is, the better.

“It would be me, Niall, Ed, Elton. Who else? That’s a good foursome.
“I wonder who comes out on top in that foursome? Just us four guys, hanging out.”
His fanciful scheme could be a distraction that gets in the way of the release his long-awaited second album though.
He is yet to give a release date — because he is waiting for other superstars to clear the decks for him.

Lewis joked: “Do I have a date for the album? F**k knows, honestly.
“Just whenever Harry Styles isn’t releasing music.
“And I bet Ed Sheeran is coming back soon as well. “Can you both just give me some f***ing room, please?”
But one clue he did give about the record is that it will have an even lengthier title than his mouthful of a debut, Divinely Uninspired To A Hellish Extent.
He said of the name on radio’s The Zach Sang Show in the US: “I can’t tell you but it’s long. It’s eight words.
“I like to get serious with my music and I get serious with my titles.”
J-LO £1.5M…FOR OPENING HOTEL
HER Love Don’t Cost A Thing but a Jennifer Lopez performance certainly does.
The superstar singer is being paid more than £1.5million to play the opening of a swanky hotel in Dubai.
And J-Lo isn’t the only celeb having the cash splashed on their services for the party at Atlantis The Royal next month.
American DJ duo The Chainsmokers and Idris Elba have also been lined up to perform, while Kendall Jenner has been paid a huge sum to host a beach bash.
And if you thought that wasn’t star-studded enough, I can reveal David and Victoria Beckham, Robbie Williams, All The Kardashian Sisters and even Prince Harry And Meghan have been invited along.
A source said: “This hotel opening is going to be a who’s who of the celebrity world.
“J-Lo has been given a seven-figure sum to perform for just an hour, before The Chainsmokers put on an after-party which is planned to go to go on until the early hours.
“Kendall is then hosting a beach party and Idris is DJ-ing.
“It is going to be huge.
“The guest list is ridiculous too, nearly every big star in the world has been invited.
“Those who do take up the offer will be treated to an all-expenses-paid trip, including flights, to the hotel for a weekend.
“It is going to be one massive party.”
I only have one question: Where has my invite gone.
I CAN’T claim to be the picture of health after years of showbiz parties.
But only now am I catching up with how other caners manage to not end up looking haggard.
Abbey Clancy– who loves a night out – says she swears by collagen smoothies from a company called Correxiko Collagen.
Sheridan Smith is also a fan.
Model Abbey said on Instagram: “I’ve been using this for a while and I can see and feel a huge difference.
“My go-to skin glow beauty hack.”

FLO ’N’ BEHOLD
FLORENCE PUGH relied on only a few strategically placed bows and some sparkles to cover her modesty at a bash at the National Gallery in London.
The Don’t Worry Darling actress chose this daring outfit to wear as she attended the new members reception for the Academy of Motion Picture, Arts and Sciences.
Other big-name guests included Brit Eddie Redmayne and US asar Jessica Chastain.
Unsurprisingly, it was Florence who seemed to catch every- one’s eye…
BILLIE’S BED READY
BILLIE EILISH appeared to wear her pyjamas on a night out in Hollywood.
The Bad Guy singer was at the Environmental Media Awards Gala at the Sunset Las Palmas Studios.
While she failed to crack a smile on the red carpet, she was in high spirts after she and her mum, Maggie Baird, picked up the Missions in Music award for their project Overheated.
The initiative saw them organise climate-focused events alongside Billie’s tour.
B*WITCHING HOUR
IF you fancy a blast from the past, B*Witched plan an album and tour to celebrate their 25th anniversary next year.
The Irish girl group – Edele and Keavy Lynch, Lindsay Armaou and Sinead O’carroll – have been busy working on new music.
In an exclusive chat, Sinead said: “Just to think we have the possibility to be touring is amazing.
I’m 50 next year, I’m like, ‘What? Should I not hang these shoes up?’
“We’re hoping to do new stuff. For the tour, hope-fully we’ll have some new music. If we can pull it all together, it will be great.
“It’s just the timing of everything, trying to logistically make it happen.”
The group are supporting Blue on their Heart & Soul tour in Dec ember after palling up on ITV show The Big Reunion.
Sinead added: “We have a Whats-App group chat, BlueWitched.
“We are delight- ed to join the lads, we have such fun.”
SCRUM OUTFIT, RITA
RITA ORA looked bold in gold as she performed at the Women’s Rugby World Cup.
She sang in this gold buttoned-up bodysuit in New Zealand ahead of the host nation’s clash with Australia.
Watching was her Kiwi film director husband Taika Waititi.
They married in a low-key ceremony this year and in an interview last month she said: “I’m in love.
“I’m very much in love. I’m in love, I’m in love, amen!”
Do you think she’s in love?.
EMELI PLANS LOVER SONGS
EMELI SANDE doesn’t just plan to marry her fiancée, she is going into the studio with her too.
The Read All About It singer wants to release an album with classical pianist Yoana Karemova after they fell in love over their shared passion for music.
She said: “We have spoken about maybe putting out an album or a collection of songs that have just come naturally from the love.
“It’s great for us to be coming from two separate worlds.
“She brings so much knowledge in music theory and through singing and my melodies, we’ve found this really lovely middle point.”
Emeli came out in March, eight years after she divorced Adam Gouraguine.
She has explained that she decided to tell people about her relationship with Yoana because she was blissfully happy.
She said on That Gaby Roslin Podcast: “I didn’t feel a pressure to share anything but it’s just that I wanted to.
“When you’re in love and happy, that’s something I naturally wanted to share.
“Whether it was with a man or a woman, it wasn’t really my concern.
“It was just, ‘This is the best thing that has ever happened to me, I’m super happy in love and I want to share that joy with the world’.”
SAM WANTS TO HAVE FUN
SAM SMITH has ditched heartbreak records after being left emotionally knackered by singing them every night.
Sam felt like “a shell of myself” after the most recent tour in 2019, which led to a move into more upbeat music.
The Unholy singer explained: “The last tour I did, I had In The Lonely Hour and The Thrill Of It All, and those two albums, they’re not the cheeriest.
“I was a bit of a shell of myself because I had to go there every single night.”
It was especially tough as it followed a split from actor Brandon Flynn.
Sam added on Annie Mac’s Changes podcast: “I was singing these heartbreak songs while going through a break-up.
“It’s definitely had an impact on the music I’ve made ever since because I want to have fun.”
OL STOPS PULLED OUT FOR SARAH
OLLY ALEXANDER put on a show to remember at The Primrose Ball in honour of Sarah Harding.
The Years & Years frontman was invited to perform by Sarah’s Girls Aloud bandmates Cheryl Tweedy, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Kimberley Walsh.
He sang his hits King and Starstruck, as well as Girls Aloud’s The Promise, whose lyrics inspired the name of the event.
Sarah passed away in September last year following a breast cancer diagnosis.
Her former bandmates have since been working hard to raise money and awareness in her name.
At the bash, held at the Londoner Hotel in the capital, Nicola also performed and Will Young sang The Pretenders’ I’ll Stand By You, which Girls Aloud covered in 2004.

Sarah would be incredibly proud.
