I had a major tan line fail – people can’t imagine how it ended up like this

WHEN one woman decided to take advantage of the sunny weather on a vacation, she chose a cute outfit and headed outside.

But when she posted a video that showed bizarre tan lines, her followers were completely befuddled by what they saw.

Content creator Hannah Stocking got her start on Vine, and now has 26.7million TikTok followers who are used to seeing her pull off silly stunts for a laugh.

In a recent clip, Stocking posted footage of herself in a bikini, showing off what looked like a normal tan from behind.

“You good, boo?” asked the person filming as they walked up behind Stocking in her swimsuit.

As the influencer turned to face the camera, the person shooting the footage was audible again – and their voice filled with dread as they said “Oh, no.”

The entire front half of Stocking’s body – including her face – was striped with tan lines that formed bizarre, pale shapes.

According to her tan lines, Stocking had spent a day in the sun wearing bike shorts, a cropped top with a chest cutout, and a mask over the lower half of her face.

“Hannah, no,” said her amateur cinematographer as Stocking laughed in a near-hysterical tone.

Commenters tried to guess just how Stocking managed to earn such a strange set of tan lines.

“Honey what outfit were you wearing?” asked a viewer. “I’m so confused.”

“Based on her tan lines, I’m guessing maybe a volleyball tournament,” one viewer theorized.

“Maybe she was at Burning Man,” offered another.

Because the festival takes place in the middle of the desert, they said, it would make sense for Stocking to wear a face mask to protect herself from sandstorms.

A few people pointed toward’s Stocking’s past history of pranks and insisted the tan lines were a joke.

“It’s a filter, people!” one person said. “It’s not real!” Others were sure the tan was just makeup.

But quite a few commenters admitted to past experiences of their own that resulted in embarrassing tans.

“Been there sis! It will be ok!” said a woman who also shared hard-earned advice. “Sunscreen all the tan parts and lay back out there.”

A few people suggested that, based on Stocking’s semi-permanent “superhero” outfit, she could practice some elaborate cosplay at a Comic Con.

One commenter said Stocking’s delirious giggle showed she had beat the suggestions to the punch.

“That laugh just confirmed she turned into a Batman villain,” they joked.
