Summer 5s Competition – Juniors and Seniors

Seacliff Hockey Club is excited to announce that we will be running junior and senior 5 and 6 a-side competitions for mixed teams from 26 October to 7 December 2022, comprising a 7 week program. We encourage beginners and experienced hockey players, plus those wanting to give the sport a try to form teams and register.

Age categories and registration details:

• Juniors (game start times of 4:10 pm, 4:55 pm or 5:40 pm)
  • Year 3/4s: 5 players per side (minimum of two females on the pitch at all times); 3 x 10 min thirds; quarter-field; boards for sidelines (no outs); plastic sticks and lighter balls; no goal keepers; no hitting, back-stick or raising of the ball; score from anywhere on the pitch but the ball must move 5 metres before shooting.   • Year 5/6s: 5 players per side (minimum of two females on the pitch at all times); 3 x 10 min thirds; quarter-field; boards for sidelines (no outs); normal stick and ball; no goal keepers; no hitting, back-stick or raising of the ball; score from anywhere on the pitch but the ball must move 5 metres before shooting.   • Year 7/8/9s: Up to 6 players per side (minimum of two females on the pitch at all times); 3 x 10 min thirds; half-field; no boards; normal stick and ball; goal keepers permitted (must have own gear); no hitting, back-stick or raising of the ball; score from anywhere on the pitch but the ball must move 5 metres before shooting. • Seniors (game start times of 6:40 pm, 7:30 pm or 8:20 pm)
  • Social mixed: Up to 6 players per side (minimum of two females on the pitch at all times); 3 x 12 min thirds; half-field; no boards; normal stick and ball; goal keepers permitted (must have own gear); no hitting, back-stick or raising of the ball; score from anywhere on the pitch but the ball must move 5 metres before shooting. Registration cost per team:
$50 registration fee + $350 per team = $400 total per team
