Two teenagers airlifted to hospital after science class explosion
Two teenagers have been airlifted to a hospital following an explosion in a science class at their high school.
The blast happened in a chemistry class at Dinwiddie High School in Virginia on Wednesday.
‘Today during second block, there was an incident that was confined to a chemistry class at DHS. All students were immediately evacuated,’ tweeted Chuck Moss, Dinwiddie County Public Schools’ director of innovation and development.
‘Law enforcement is currently investigating the situation and more information is forthcoming.
‘Today, Dinwiddie High School only will be dismissing early at 11:15 am and we ask all parents who normally pick up their students to please do so.’
The cause of the explosion was not immediately known.
