Jet2 flight to UK from Turkey escorted by two Typhoon fighter jets over ‘bomb scare’
A PASSENGER plane has been intercepted by two Typhoon fighter jets over a suspected bomb threat.
The Jet 2 Boeing 737 – on its way from Dalaman, Turkey to Manchester – has been diverted to Stansted Airport, Essex.
It is understood the plane has landed in a far corner of the airfield, away from the terminals.
Police were waiting on the runway for the plane to land amid a reported bomb scare.
Jet2 has been contacted for comment.
