Rangers 1 Liverpool 7: Super sub Mo Salah scores fastest-ever Champions League hat-trick with stunning SIX-MINUTE blitz
SUPER-SUB Mo Salah struck the fastest Champions League hat-trick as Liverpool shook off an early Rangers scare.
Scott Arfield gave the hosts the lead with 17 minutes on the clock, sending Ibrox bouncing.
But Roberto Firmino equalised seven minutes later with a near-post header.
The Brazilian put the Reds in front as he finished from Joe Gomez’s inch-perfect low cross before he set up Darwin Nunez for 3-1.
Nunez’s goal proved his final touch and he was replaced by Salah on 66 minutes.
Salah toe-poked his first on 75 minutes, was clinical to add his second and produced a sublime finish on 81 minutes for his hat-trick in six minutes and 12 seconds.
Harvey Elliott volleyed in a seventh – it was initially flagged offside but the youngster crossed his fingers as VAR reviewed the replays… and awarded him his first Champions League goal.
