Five million households 'face £5,000 a year surge in mortgage'

Annual mortgage payments are set to rise by an average of £5,100 by the end of 2024 for more than five million households. Some £1,200 of this is due to higher expected interest rates since the "mini-Budget", the Resolution Foundation said.
