Bettors expect Deontay Wilder will rebound from back-to-back losses to defeat Robert Helenius on Saturday

It’s been roughly one year since Deontay Wilder last stepped in a ring with something on the line. His October of 2021 trilogy with Tyson Fury ended with a second-straight stoppage and a second-straight loss.

This Saturday, Wilder, a.k.a. The Bronze Bomber, is ready to redeem himself. Only, this time he’ll face Robert Helenius of Sweeden.

With a record of 31-3-0 and 20 K.O. victories under his belt, Helenius has the resume of a worthy opponent. He hasn’t, however, sniffed the heights of the 42-2-1 former champion Wilder, who has -900 odds at Tipico Sportsbook to defeat Helenius.

Wilder’s only competition to this point in his career has been Fury. Based on the 88 percent of tickets at Tipico bet on Wilder to win, most fans expect that fact to hold true for at least another weekend.

Should Helenius do the unthinkable and defeat Wilder, it’ll be one of the more surprising boxing upsets in recent memory, even if Wilder hasn’t won a fight in nearly three years.
