Lakers G Dennis Schroder out 3-4 weeks after thumb surgery

Los Angeles Lakers guard Dennis Schroder underwent surgery on his thumb Monday and will miss the first 3 to 4 weeks of the regular season.

Lakers coach Darvin Ham told reporters that Schroder needed the procedure to repair a ligament in his thumb.

Schroder sustained the injury in the team's preseason game against Minnesota last Wednesday.
