Ye to buy free speech app Parler

Ye, formally known as Kanye West, is set to buy the Conservative free speech platform Parler.

Parlement Technologies, parent company of the app Parler, made the announcement on Monday morning.

Parler CEO, George Farmer, made a statement online.

“This deal will change the world, and change the way the world thinks about free speech,” Farmer stated. “Ye is making a groundbreaking move into the free speech media space and will never have to fear being removed from social media again.”

Farmer is the husband to Conservative media personality Candace Owens. Owens is a well-known friend of West. Recently, the two turned heads at Paris Fashion Week after they were photographed wearing Yeezy-branded “White Lives Matter” shirts.

After Fashion Week, West was in hot water due to some of his Tweets. Owens publicly defended Ye’s choice of words.

“If you are an honest person, you did not think this tweet was anti-Semitic,” she argued. “You did not think that he wrote this tweet because he hates or wants to genocide Jewish people. This does not represent the beginning of the Holocaust.”

Exact details about the deal between West and Parler were not disclosed, however, it is expected that the deal will be closed by the end of this year.
