Police recover puppy stolen in Daly City robbery
DALY CITY – Two people have been arrested on suspicion of robbing a person of a French bulldog puppy over the summer in Daly City, according to authorities.
The robbery was reported Aug. 25 near Skyline Plaza. The victim, in addition to being robbed of their bulldog and other property, was assaulted with a firearm, the Daly City Police Department said in a statement Monday.
According to police, a month-long investigation resulted in the identification of two suspects – a 19-year-old El Cerrito resident and a 19-year-old Daly City resident.
The bulldog was also recovered and returned to its owner.
Search warrants that were served as part of the investigation led to the seizure of several firearms and high-capacity magazines, police said.
Both suspects were arrested and booked into San Mateo County jail on multiple felony charges.
