Serving Metropolitan cop charged with possessing indecent images of children as he’s suspended from duties

A SERVING Met Police officer has been charged with having indecent images of kids.

PC Darren Hourigan will appear in court today charged with three counts of possessing the pictures.

He was arrested in March 2020 following a probe by the Met’s Online Child Sexual Exploitation and Abuse team.

Houringan – who is attached to the South Area Command Unit – has been suspended from the force.

He was initially bailed before being released under investigation.

But the cop was charged by postal requisition notice on Wednesday, 21 September.

He will appear at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court today.
