[Men's Bowling] SXU Men's Bowling Takes Home Columbia 300 Title
INDIANAPOLIS – The Saint Xavier University men's bowling team won the Columbia 300 Western Shootout at Western Bowl in Indianapolis, Ind. this past weekend by a narrow margin of just six pins over runner-up Calumet College of St. Joseph (Ind.), 9,324-9,228. They outdueled 30 other teams for the top spot and gained a measure of revenge after being eliminated by CCSJ in the semifinals of the Midwest Collegiate Tournament two weeks ago. The Cougars trailed by only 20 pins after the individual portion of the tournament on Saturday with 6,092 pins and totaled 3,142 pins in the 16 Baker Games on Sunday to earn the second team title in program history. SXU won the Golden Eagle Invite last season on September 26, 2021.
