I’m so upset that I only have one photo of me at my son’s wedding
DEAR DEIDRE: I HAVE just one photo of me on my son’s wedding day.
It’s of me and my husband on our front lawn, taken by my daughter.

A photographer stayed all day but there were no family photos from my side, other than what people took on their phones.
I’m 62 and the wedding was small so it wouldn’t have been difficult to arrange an official photo of me and my son.
My daughter-in-law is French and she and my son are in their late thirties.
She stayed at our house during the pandemic so I was involved a lot with the wedding.
Her parents were still worried about travelling – even last summer – so they joined in via Zoom.

My daughter-in-law had beautiful pictures taken with my son and her sister and brother but I’m so upset that there were none of my side of the family.
My son said they called for us but we didn’t seem to be together at the same time.
