Shocking moment car ploughs into pensioner walking on pavement, before he was rushed to hospital
THIS is the shocking moment a car ploughed into a pensioner walking along the pavement in front of horrified passersby.
The man, in his 70s, was seen recoiling in terror as the black Kia 4×4 careered towards him uncontrollably in East London.
In a matter of seconds, the dinted motor had hurtled across the road into the path of an oncoming van and two elderly men on the pavement.
Distressing footage shows the blokes desperately trying to dive out of the way as the vehicle charged towards them.
But only one managed to escape the danger, throwing himself across the floor to avoid being hit by the Kia.
The car continued to stampede toward the pedestrians before striking the pensioner, who crumpled behind the wreckage.
