HORRIFIED fans of The Archers fear the fictional village of Ambridge is about to be shaken by a swingers scandal.
Listeners were left reeling after characters in the BBC Radio 4 soap invited neighbours for a drink and to join them in their new hot tub.

One fan said: “I’ve a terrible feeling that Mick might be a swinger and hopes Helen will get frisky.”
A second added: “And so began The Ambridge Swingers Society (ASS for short . . . ).”
After one episode last week, a stunned listener wrote on social media: “Omg, Joy and Mick are swingers aren’t they.”

Fears of a sex scandal soared after another character described the hot tub as a “nasty, germy, sex pond”.
The Archers, which turned 70 last year, is promoted as “a contemporary drama in a rural setting”.
