‘Beautiful’ mum, 42, killed in horror crash, as devastated family share photo of parent who ‘held everyone together’
TRIBUTES have been paid to a “beautiful, amazing mother” who died after her car came off the road on Monday morning.
Sarah Kirsty Lumb, 42, from Southport, Merseyside, was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency services were scrambled to the spot close to Ormskirk, Lancashire.
Crews were called to North Moor Lane in Halsall on Monday morning after reports of a serious collision.
The car came off the road at around 8.20am and, despite the best efforts of emergency responders, the woman, who was the only occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
She was named Tuesday evening as Sarah Kirsty Lumb from Southport, Merseyside.
Her family are currently being supported by specially trained officers, Lancashire Constabulary said.

Sarah’s daughter Jessica has since paid an emotional tribute to her mother.
“She was an amazing, compassionate and loving mother, who will be dearly missed,” she said.
“Sarah played many roles as well as being a mother. She was a person who put everything and everyone before herself… She was the glue that held everyone together, and for that, I am thankful to call her my mother.”
Her fiancé, Chris, said: “Sarah was a beautiful, amazing mother, sister, and partner, there is a hole in our life that can never be repaired.

Sarah’s younger brother Anthony said: “My beautiful big sis. You have always been there for me from day one, until now, you can finally be at ease and be with our mum looking down at all of us, I’m going to miss you so much, sis.
“Love you forever your little bro Anthony.”
Lancashire Constabulary is continuing to appeal for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.
Sgt Phil Baxendale, of Lancashire Police’s Tactical Operations, said: “This incident has resulted in a woman losing her life and my thoughts are with her loved ones at this extremely distressing time.
“We are now working to establish the full circumstances of the collision and what caused it.

“I would ask any witnesses or anybody with dashcam or CCTV footage which could assist our inquiries to contact the police as soon as possible.”
