Season series against Cowichan
Oct. 18 Cowichan Valley at Trail 2:30 pm PDT
Nov. 5 Trail at Cowichan Valley 7:00 pm PDT
The Smoke Eaters will see the Capitals again in a few short weeks, being the only Coastal Conference team the Smoke Eaters will play twice this season. The Smoke Eaters will be looking to keep up the level of play that they’ve shown over the last four games, going 3-0-1 in that time and earning 7 of a possible 8 points in the process. Coming off Saturday’s 4-3 overtime loss against the Bucks the Smoke Eaters will be happy again with how they played, but bitter in the result and they’ll look to rebound from that against the Capitals, who after playing Cranbrook on Monday at the Showcase, have now lost four in a row.
Smoke Eaters leading scorers:
Remissong (6-3-9)
Parsons (4-4-8)
Cobetto-Roy (3-4-7)

The Capitals will be eager for a bounce back performance of their own after a disappointing first showing at the Showcase on Monday. The Caps lost 9-2 to Cranbrook and were outshot 14-3 in the first period. The turning point when the game got out of hand was the back half of the second when the Capitals got into penalty trouble and allowed two powerplay goals and a shorthanded goal in the span of six and half minutes to Cranbrook. The Capitals will be looking to wrap their showcase up with a win but they know their in tough against the Smoke Eaters.
