Mac Jones will start for the Patriots Sunday after being benched in favor of rookie Bailey Zappe this past weekend, per ESPN’s Field Yates.
Jones returned from a high ankle sprain on Monday against the Bears but struggled to start the game. He finished with just 13 passing yards and one interception before Zappe took over in the second quarter.
After the game, coach Bill Belichick was clear it was always the game plan to play both quarterbacks against Chicago. But since then, he has been mum on who will start Sunday against the Jets.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
