Simon Cowell hands fiancee Lauren control of their upcoming wedding
SIMON has handed fiancée Lauren control of their wedding — after first hinting he might be in charge.
The couple, dating since 2013, are expected to marry next year.
Asked if he was masterminding the proceedings, Simon laughed and replied: “Absolutely not.”
Pressed to confirm if their big day would take place in 2023, he added: “I’m not going there because I’ll get into too much trouble”.
Simon added that he and Lauren — who he describes as his rock — have decided not to talk publicly about their relationship for privacy reasons, and that their wedding “will be quiet”.
The Sun revealed in January that the couple were engaged.

Simon decided to propose after they spent the pandemic together in Malibu — and it confirmed how well they got on together.
He said: “You’ve got to like each other, not just love each other.
“We like all the same things. We laugh a lot.”
