India's manufacturing PMI rises to 55.3 in October
MUMBAI, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- India's manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) rose to 55.3 in October from 55.1 in September as expansion in factory activity led to hiring spree of workers, a survey said on Tuesday.
The index compiled by S&P Global Market Intelligence remained above the 50-mark in October, the 16th straight month of improvement.
