Iceland reveals Christmas menu including lobster tails and TGI corn dogs

ICELAND has unveiled its Christmas food menu and it features everything from turkey to festive meatballs.

The big day is still almost two months away, but it’s good to be prepared and start planning ahead.

Iceland’s menu this year offers customers everything they’ll need for Christmas lunch or dinner, but there are some quirky items included as well in case you’re after something a bit different.

Shoppers will be able to bag a luxury maple crackling gammon joint for £15, sticky toffee crown for £10, a 20-pack of mini eclairs for £2.25 and much more.

The full range will be available online and in-store from Monday, November 14.

Shoppers can already take advantage of Iceland’s new party food range as well, which launched on October 19.

Below, we list just a few of the items that’ll be available on Iceland’s Christmas menu later this month.

Split Lobster Tails with Garlic and Herb Butter – £15

This item is perfect for shoppers who want to splash out a bit more and are looking for a luxurious starter.

The item costs £15 and weighs 240 grams.

The lobster meat comes covered in herby, garlic butter as well.

We looked online to see how much similar products costed elsewhere and found one on sale at Morrisons for £10.

Meanwhile, Waitrose was selling a raw lobster rail for £19.

TGI Corn Dogs with ketchup mustard – £4

These TGI Corn Dogs come in a pack of six and are perfect for any American food lovers.

The pack costs £4 and comes with pork sausages wrapped in crunchy breadcrumbs.

On top of that, they’re served with ketchup and mustard sauce.

It’s another great alternative starter.

A Christmas staple for many, this 4kg turkey crown comes with herby stuffing and will set shoppers back £30.

It’s topped with streaky, smoky bacon as well adding a touch of saltiness.

When we looked online we found Tesco selling a turkey in its finest range for £15.50 per kilo, so more expensive than Iceland’s.

Sainsbury’s’ free range bronze turkey crown was £17.50 per kilo, so again more expensive than Iceland’s luxury offer.

Cathedral City Branston pickle bites – £3.50

Anyone who’s a fan of the classic cheese and pickle combo will be keen to give these a go.

The Cathedral City Branston pickle bites come in a pack of six and will set you back £3.50.

The bites are made up of mozzarella and cheddar and coated in herby breadcrumbs.

20 Mini Chocolate Eclairs – £2.25

Don’t fancy a whole eclair? You can try out these mini versions[/caption]

This 20 pack of mini eclairs comes in at £2.25 or you can grab three packs for £5, saving £1.75.

Filled with cream and topped with milk chocolate, the mini bites are ideal for party plates or served up as a normal pudding.

They’re a good alternative to Christmas Pudding as well.

When we looked online for similar products, Asda was selling a 12-pack of eclairs for £1.50, so more expensive per eclair than Iceland.

Beyond that, Waitrose was selling 24 chocolate profiteroles for £10.25.
