New Met Office storm warnings as thunder, lightning and rain to rage over UK till tomorrow

Much of the UK was rudely awoken to a first hit of late autumnal conditions this morning - but the bad news is strong gusts and torrential downpours are here to stay, with ferocious thunderstorms set to smash over coastal areas in hours.
