Even though I’m in a gay relationship, I want a baby with a woman
DEAR DEIDRE: I’VE been in a gay relationship for five years, but I often think about being with women.
I’m 30 and my boyfriend is 34.
Our relationship has been great but I can’t stop wondering what life would be like if I was straight.
Our friends have been settling down and creating families of their own. While I’m happy for them, it’s brought on a lot of jealousy.
I want a child of my own, but I know this is something my boyfriend can’t provide.
We have spoken about adoption, but selfishly, I want to do it naturally.

I feel like I’m not living the way I’m supposed to. Please help.

DEIDRE SAYS: For many people, sexuality can be a fluid thing.
While some see themselves as definitively straight or gay or bisexual, many see themselves as somewhere in between.
It’s normal to be confused, but it wouldn’t be fair to get into a straight relationship on the basis you want your own biological children.
If you are not living how you want to then talk to someone.
