My weed addiction is taking over my life
DEAR DEIDRE: MY anxiety is taking over my life and I’m worried that my weed addiction is making it worse.
I started smoking at 18, and I’m now 25.
For as long as I can remember I have struggled with my nerves, and I’ve been in and out of therapy for most of my life.
When a friend suggested I try weed, I was desperate to find some kind of relief.
Now after seven years, I can’t go a day without it.
I’ve tried everything to help my anxiety and cure my addiction but nothing seems to be working.
MORE FROM DEAR DEIDRE
My GP told me the waiting list for addiction therapy is three to four years.
I feel like I’ve run out of options. What can I do?
