I’m a Louis Vuitton worker – people always think we’re snobby, here’s what it’s really like in designer store
A SALES assistant at a top designer store has lifted the lid on what it’s really like to work there.
The Louis Vuitton employee shared a “day in the life” video on TikTok this week (@lvedinburgh).
She gave social media users an inside look at a typical day inside the luxury store, located in Edinburgh’s Multrees Walk.
In the clip, she said: “This is the day in the life of an employee working at Louis Vuitton.
“I come into work around 9 o’clock and straight away I had to look at the new launches. Look at how cute they are.
“Then Laurel was hosting our morning meeting where we were talking about Christmas. Yes we are literally already talking about Christmas.

“Then my college was fitting the new window displays because we had new products launching.
“Then this was a gorgeous coat that my colleague ordered in for her client.
“A lot of people don’t know but we actually can do ready-to-wear orders so if there’s anything you like please ask us and we can source it for you.”
She added: “This was my first sale of the day and I was really chuffed because it was the matching pink and it was a new launch.

“I also had a client struggling to pick between these two bags.
“Then to be honest the day just kind of ran away from us, we were really busy before I got visited by this little guy, so cute.
“We are a dog-friendly store which a lot of people don’t know so please bring your dogs in to say hi.
“Then before you know, it was time to lock up. Finished last orders, get the last spray and get ready to go home and do it all again tomorrow.”
The shop worker encouraged followers to ask any questions about life working for Louis Vuitton.
And she was quickly faced with negative comments from people who claimed staff can be snobby.
One asked: “Why do you treat people s****y even tho u don’t know if we can buy?”
Meanwhile a second wrote: “Unfortunately never had a positive experience in this store.”
But asked if customers need to be “well dressed” to enter the store, the employee insisted: “We serve anyone and everyone.”
Her video has racked up more than 250,000 views since it was shared this week.
And others had plenty of positive memories from the store.
