We can confirm that striker Ryan Dignan has left the club to join East of Scotland League Second Division side St Andrews United.
The Fife club made an approach for Ryan over the weekend and while initially being reticent about making a move, after he spoke with the St Andrews manager Robbie Raeside, Ryan decided the time was right for him to return to the club he left in 2013.
Ryan joined Carnoustie in 2017 from Dundee Violet and played 115 games for the club scoring 57 goals and we would like to thank Ryan for all his efforts in a Carnoustie shirt and wish him well for the future.
Before Ryan left for pastures new, he told us “I would just like to put on record my thanks to each and everyone associated with Carnoustie Panmure football club (past and present) for making my time at the club an extremely enjoyable experience. I’ve met some wonderful people and achieved some wonderful things that will stay with me for a lifetime. I would also like to thank the staff and management at Carnoustie for the way they have dealt with my transfer. Going forward, I wish the team the best of luck and hope they go on to have another successful season.”
