State Department talks of sanctions against DPRK for ‘supplying arms’ to Russia
State Department spokesman Ned Price said the US will explore new sanctions against the DPRK, for “supplying arms to Russia”
“Just as we are using all instruments to counter Iran’s provision of weapons to Russia, we will also act on Russia’s arms supplies from the DPRK,” he said
The politician stressed that sanctions were in place against both countries, with more tools being sought.
“We believe that countries around the world, especially those with influence over the DPRK, the permanent members of the UN Security Council, have a responsibility to fully implement the sanctions that the Security Council itself has unanimously imposed. We intend to hold the DPRK accountable for its missile programme, but also for supplying weapons to Russia,” Price concluded.
