[Men's Cross Country] Men's Cross Country Honors Released
TOLEDO, Ohio - (Complete Honors) - In conjunction with the conference meet on Nov. 4, the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced is men's cross country honors for the 2022 season. The top seven finishers at the meet were named First-Team All-Conference with finishers 8-14 receiving Second-Team All-Conference accolades.
Cornerstone head coach Josh Neideck earned Coach of the Year for leading the Golden Eagles to the title. Isaac Sytsma of Indiana Tech was named Newcomer of the Year for his effort at the meet. The final award went to Eric Green of Lawrence Tech as he was named Champions of Character Coach.
In addition to the individual honors and the All-Conference teams, the WHAC announced its All-Academic and Champions of Character teams. All-Academic included juniors or above in academic standing with a cumulative 3.25 GPA or higher and in attendance at the nominating school for one full year. The Champions of Character Team included one member from each school who best represents the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
