[Women's Cross Country] Women's Cross Country Honors Announced
TOLEDO, Ohio - (Complete Honors) - In conjunction with the conference meet on Nov. 4, the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) announced is women's cross country honors for the 2022 season.
The All-Conference teams were named based on order of finish at the conference meet. The first seven finishers were named First Team All-Conference and the next seven finishers were awarded Second Team All-Conference.
Anna Martin of Cornerstone was named Runner of the Year and teammate Malarie Pinwar earned Newcomer of the Year. Cornerstone head coach Josh Neideck was awarded Coach of the Year and Aquinas' Mike Wojciakowski was voted as the Champions of Character Coach.
In addition to the individual honors and the All-Conference teams, the WHAC announced its All-Academic and Champions of Character teams. All-Academic included juniors or above in academic standing with a cumulative 3.25 GPA or higher and in attendance at the nominating school for one full year. The Champions of Character Team included one member from each school who best represents the five core character values of integrity, respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and servant leadership.
