I’m A Celebrity 2021 winner Danny Miller has admitted he’s feeling all sorts of emotions as he prepares to hand over the title of King of the series.

The Emmerdale star beat out Corrie’s Simon Gregson and TV presenter Frankie Bridge to be crowned the first (and to date only) King of the Castle.

Appearing in the second of the two seasons show in Wales’s Gwrych Castle after Covid travel restrictions forced I’m A Celebrity to relocate, Danny has clearly been making the most of his jungle crown while he has it.

As a new series of castmates prepare to enter the camp for the first time, Danny joins previous stars like Carol Vorderman when it comes to feeling nostalgic, and joined her in sharing a flashback moment of from a trial with David Ginola.

Next to it, he wrote a cheekily little note telling the future winner they may have another fight on their hands to get their crown.

“Pizza and beer and [I’m A Celebrity] new series tonight,” he wrote.

“Jealous but excited and if you think I’m handing over my crown you’re wrong, I’ve hidden it so come and find it if you want it ”

“Crazy emotions running through my mind in honesty” he added. “Just enjoy it camp mates #imacelebrity.”

This year’s I’m a Celebrity campers will be trading in their comfy lives and luxuries to brave the elements in Australia’s jungle campsite.

This is the show’s triumphant return to their Gold Coast home after Covid travel restrictions forced them to relocate to Gwyrch Castle, Wales for the past two years.

The original line-up for the series comprises of: Hollyoaks’ Owen Warner, 80s legend Boy George, comedian Babatunde Aleshe, Love Island star Olivia Attwood, Loose Women’s Charlene White, radio DJ Chris Moyles, Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver, rugby Royal Mike Tindall, England football star Jill Scott, and TV presenter Scarlette Douglas

They will be joined in a few days time by stand-up comic Seann Walsh, and former health secretary Matt Hancock

Bushtucker trials will, as always, be voted for by the public for the first half of the series, before the public vote switches to who to vote out of the jungle.

Who will take over the crown from reigning champion?

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here airs weekdays from 9pm on ITV.
