Every fortnight, the Embassy Cinemas in Valletta is screening classic and renowned cult movies.
The 1960 Italian classic film La Dolce Vita, directed by Federico Fellini, will be shown today. It stars Marcello Mastroianni as Marcello Rubini, a tabloid journalist who, over seven days and nights, journeys through the "sweet life" of Rome in a fruitless search for love and happiness. The film also stars Anouk Aimée and Anita Ekberg.
Other screenings include Roman Polanski’s Chinatown (1974), Akira Kurosawa’s Ran (1985) and Frank Capra’s It’s a Wonderful Life (1946).
