The European Union threatened Monday to take retaliatory measures against the United States for electric car subsidies that favour domestic manufacturers. Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton early Monday threatened to take "retaliatory measures" against the United States, calling the subsidies "contrary to World Trade Organization rules".
