Struggling Southampton sacks Hasenhuttl

LONDON, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- Southampton sacked coach Ralph Hasenhuttl on Monday following a poor start to the season, which was compounded by Sunday's 4-1 defeat at home to Newcastle United.

The Austrian leaves after just under four years in charge but with just one win in his last nine matches in charge, and Southampton has been given permission to speak to Luton Town coach Nathan Jones as his replacement.
