The Singaporean owner of the yellow Lamborghini Aventador had red licence plates on the flash motor – indicating he had only recently bought the luxury supercar.

The Lambo has a top speed of 218mph and boasts a 0-60mph of 2.8 seconds.

He allegedly caused the motorway pile-up on 5 November, according to a traffic police spokesperson.

First responders on the scene found utility poles and a road barrier strewn across the road alongside several smashed-up motors.

A damaged Toyota Altis was found nearby as well as an overturned Toyota Vigo pick-up truck with a damaged front end.

Further along the motorway, the emergency services found the luxury yellow supercar, which was badly damaged.

The massive pile-up also led to multiple injuries, including a couple in the pick-up truck.

Additionally, three people in the sedan, aged 61, 33 and 25, were rushed to hospital.

The 51-year-old owner of the damaged supercar was uninjured in the incident.

An early investigation found the new Lambo owner was speeding near the airport, and caused the collision after driving erratically and ramming the Toyota.

The car then hit the utility poles and was rear-ended by the pick-up truck, which crashed into the barrier and flipped over.
