Sorry as ignorant as it sounds but leave politics to the politicians and sport to the sportsmen.

This isn’t the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games!
That wasn’t boycotted my the majority and neither should this tournament.

Fair play to you ,each to their own.When you say leave politics to the politicians do you count the abhorrent anti homosexuality and rampant misogyny of the Qatar government as "politics" and also the taking of the knee for black lives matter?

Just watching in his press conference Southgate being asked about stuff he has no control over similarly to myself I’m comfortable to watch a football tournament, like I did for South Africa and Russia who both have human rights issues.
I don’t condone racism or misogyny, and those issues need to be worked on by politicians who make legislations and law.
I as an everyday bloke can only hope that hosting the World Cup, opening themselves up to other countries, people, religions and races is a progressive step for a country such as Qatar.
