Last night, the former Health Secretary was seen tackling his first Bushtucker trial in the Australian jungle after arriving in camp alongside comedian Seann Walsh.

MP Matt, 44, was voted by the public to take on the Tentacles of Terror trial last night, following his arrival into the main camp.

The West Suffolk MP, who had the Conservative Party whip removed after announcing his plans to join the show, caused a stir among his co-stars after walking in alongside Seann, 33.

Radio DJ Chris Moyles, Loose Women star Charlene White and Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver were among the first to react, sharing their feelings of shock in the Bush Telegraph.

However – it was one of the other celebs that viewers were convinced already has a secret feud with, from before their time in the camp.

Taking to Twitter, they speculated that Lioness Jill Scott would be the one that would fall out with the MP first.

“Jill Scott’s gonna be picturing Matt Hancock’s head as a football, I know it,” one wrote, as a second said: “Jill is thinking ‘save me’ the minute matt spoke to her.”

“I can just feel that Jill absolutely hates Matt Hancock and there’s gonna be massive drama soon,” a third agreed.

While a fourth jokingly wrote to betting company Paddy Power: “Odds on Jill nuttin’ Matt within the week?”

Last night, viewers insisted that they could tell one campmate felt “contempt” for Matt and was keen to “thump” him.

While all of Matt’s fellow campers appeared surprised to see him, one person in particular couldn’t hide their feelings according to viewers.

Charlene White‘s official Instagram shared a clip of her quizzing Matt on his decision to take part in I’m a Celebrity – ending with an eye roll from the Loose Women star.

One fan commented: “I swear she looked like she wanted to thump him one,” as another said: “She can’t hide her contempt for him.”

It comes after The Sun exclusively revealed Matt’s secret affair with his closest aide Gina Coladangelo, 43, last year.

Our snaps showed him cheating on his wife of 15 years with married Ms ­Coladangelo while Britain was gripped by Covid.

Meanwhile Charlene previously broke down in tears on Loose Women as she recalled her aunt’s funeral during the first lockdown.

ITV news reader Charlene said: “My family stuck by the rules, we had to bury family members without being able to hug each other.

“I had to sit in a crematorium when my aunt was buried – because I wasn’t living in the same household as my brother and sister and my dad – in a pew by myself with my baby daughter on my lap as we were all in floods of tears.”
