Three people have won £1,000,000 in the lottery and they have no idea
Three millionaires-to-be have yet to claim their cash after winning last week’s special EuroMillions draw.
Last Friday, 20 very lucky winners of the £1,000,000 UK Millionaire Maker prize were announced.
But three people, two who bought tickets online and one who did at a retailer, have yet to come forward.
EuroMillions winners are urged to check their National Lottery account, whether online or on the app, and call the National Lotter helpline to make their claim.
For the retail ticket holder, they should check their paper ticket, either in-store or by scanning it on the lottery app, and then call the National Lottery Line.
Andy Carter, a senior winners advisor at Camelot, which operates the National Lottery, said the three ticket-holers have a fair few reasons to step forward.
Carter said: ‘It’s only just under a week since the draw, but we’re urging all EuroMillions players to log into their National Lottery account — the easiest way to do this is via the National Lottery app — or check their tickets to be in with a chance of claiming one of these three remaining £1,000,000 prizes.
‘There are three millionaires out there who are maybe yet to realise it! Imagine what you could do with £1,000,000 — a once-in-a-lifetime holiday, a dream pad or treating your nearest and dearest.’
This isn’t the first time a Millionaire Maker winner hasn’t immediately come forward.
Only last week did a four-month search for one of 22 winners of a July draw come to an end when someone in Leeds was paid £1,000,000.
If the three winners haven’t bagged their one million in two weeks’ time, Camelot will release the area in which the ticket was bought.
This keeps the person’s anonymity and is provided by Camelot’s security team.
A winning ticket holder doesn’t have to go public if they don’t want to, but they have 180 days tops to claim the cash.
