Ashley Elliott regularly posts fun hairstyle and beauty hacks on her TikTok page – and people listen, as she’s got almost 12 million followers.
In a recent video, she showed fans how she transforms her bright barnet with a simple clip-on wig. But it wasn’t the hair-do her followers were all talking about.
“Using a blonde ponytail in my ginger hair,” she writes over the top of the clip.

Viewers see a fresh-faced Ashley staring intently into the camera before holding up a long wig of blonde, wavy hair.
She bounces the hair up and down to show off its voluminous effect. Next, she uses a spray bottle to dampen her straight bob and produces a fine comb to brush it through from root to tip.
Ashley, still staring wide-eyed into the camera, then uses a soft hairbrush to tame her locks into a low ponytail which sits tightly against her head.
Flinging her head back around, she pops hair mascara on her front-most strands to keep fly-aways at bay.

Finally, she tucks her real hair into a bun and clips the wavy blonde locks over the top of the hair bobble.
Ashley poses with her fresh new do, stroking her face and pulling the fake hair over her shoulder to show off the amazing length.
Instead of gushing over Ashley’s fresh style, viewers felt creeped out by her unchanging face and implored her to look away from the camera.

Fans claim Ashley is staring into their souls with her unblinking expression – and it’s having an unwanted effect.
“Blink one time for me please! My soul just left my body,” described a bewildered follower.
Meanwhile, those actually interested in Ashley’s hair much prefer the pretty lady with her own natural locks.
