#LAKings Projected Lineups: LA Kings ar Edmonton Oilers, Here We Go Again (MayorsManor)
Finally, The Rock the Kings have come back to Edmonton.
LA’s last visit to their former Smythe Division rival did not produce the desired results. It was a playoff matchup last season with many storylines, including coach Todd McClellan having the opportunity to eliminate his previous employer from postseason action. Game 7 should have never happened, though. The kings were in a position to close things out in Game 6 at home.
With far less stakes on the line in tonight’s rematch, there is still a measure of importance to the game. Edmonton has changed goaltenders and will be without the services of Evander Kane, so their roster may look a little different. Yet the Kings need two points after losing ugly in Calgary on Monday. And, more importantly, they need to prove that last year was not a fluke.
Given what went down vs. the Flames last time out, McLellan could opt for several lineup changes. For now, we’ll assume much of the same from what he went with in the third period on Monday. If anything changes at morning skate, this article will be updated.
Once the game gets going, be on the lookout for a rekindling of Mikey Anderson vs. Connor McDavid.
