Maken had stayed away from a recent AICC panel meeting on preparations for the yatra's entry into northern states. As per AICC insiders, last week Kharge received Maken's letter dated November 8, in which the AICC general secretary said he was "left with no moral authority" to continue as in-charge of Rajasthan.
