In the video we see Megan mix together her ingredients in a bowl – she uses four cups of flour, one cup of salt, one and a half cups of water.
She whisks everything together with a handheld whisk, before sprinkling some flour onto a piece of greaseproof paper.
Megan puts the large ball of dough onto the paper, before rolling it out with a rolling pin.
She then uses her child’s hand to create handprints and a pen to make a hole next to the handprint – this will be to loop to attach the string through so that Megan can hang her creations on her tree.

Following this, the DIY whizz uses a knife to cut around the handprint.
The savvy mum then puts her creations on a tray and bakes them in the oven on 200 degrees for one to two hours.

Once baked, Megan gets to painting – she uses standard craft paint on the hands of the decorations, to transform them into small Santas.
She paints the palm of the hand red for Santa’s hat and paints on eyes and a red nose to finish off the decoration.
Megan then hooks a piece of string through the hole, before adding them to her Christmas tree.
Megan’s decorations look fabulous and for those wanting to do something crafty this festive season, this is something you must try.
Not only this, but if you are concerned about the costs of Christmas, making your own decorations will save you lots of money on baubles too.
