A two-week virtual course on Essentials for SPS Committee Participation took place for the first time from 15 to 24 November 2022, with the participation of government officials from developing and least-developed African countries. Participants said they acquired an advanced level of understanding of the WTO’s Agreement on the Application of Sanitary and Phytosanitary Measures and were ready to undertake individual actions to improve the participation of their countries in the SPS Committee.
